Bed and Breakfast in Port Jefferson
History
Circa 1868, this cedar-clapboard covered, side-gables house began as a simple Cape Cod with a central-front entry-way with windows placed symmetrically on either side. Over the years, a front porch was added as were dormers on both the front and back. Recently a two story addition on the west side of the house gave an extra room to each floor. Shutters on the six-over-six windows add to the Cape Cod effect.
Upon arriving at The Ransome Inn, you will be greeted by all the conveniences of your home and office while treating yourself to an abundance of indulgences waiting for you. The house has private and secure parking. Transportation may be arranged from the local ferry or train for those traveling without transportation. The Inn’s charm and warmth make even business travel a bit more relaxing. Fresh flowers fill each room.
